Week 2

We hope your weekend wasn’t too gray with all the rain and ice. Temperatures are looking to slowly cool down over the next week, so be sure to bundle up if you go out. We have books, DVDs, and music here at the library to keep you warm and entertained inside all winter long!

This Week

On Wednesday, Youth Librarian Stephanie will be welcoming in the tweens and teens with Bulldog Break Time. The fun starts right after school at 2:45pm and will feature snacks, Legos, games, and WiiU! Be sure to stop in kids!

Thursday mornings bring Ed Kehoe into the Vicksburg District Library as he leads a class in Tai Chi. This movement art embracing both mind and body are great for those looking to get moving in the new year! Class is every Thursday morning at 10:45am and the cost is $5.00 per session. Come in and see what all the hubbub is about.

The next Library Board meeting will be held this Thursday at 6:00pm. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

What do you get when you put together a library, Valentine’s Day, and March Madness all in one? You get a tournament that determines that Best Romance Novel of All Time! Through the month of January, we will be taking nominations for your favorite romance novels at the ballot box at the Circulation Desk. Then in February, we lay out the full sweet 16 bracket of nominations. Through all of February, we take votes and battle it out until there is only one novel left standing and declared the Best Romance Novel of All Time! Stop in today and cast your ballot to see if yours is among the list of the best.
