NOTICE:

We now offer a new program exclusive for the Homeschool families of the Vicksburg area! Sign up now for our new Homeschool Family Bookclub, scheduled for the 2nd Thursday of every month, the next meeting being on Feb. 14th from 12-1:30pm. This is an opportunity for whole family participation: any family member who can read or enjoys being read to is welcome to join. You will receive materials and guidance to get the most out of the books you choose for your family to read. Meet and network with other homeschool families from the Vicksburg area. This is a great addition to any language arts curriculum. The club will follow a "literature circle" format which facilitates getting the whole family involved in looking at the details of a book and connecting literature to other subjects. Since our meetings take place during the lunch hour, please bring a sack lunch to enjoy! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Children's Librarian.

Vicksburg District Library is a great resource for homeschoolers. Search our catalog for books specifically about homeschooling. You can find them on our shelves at 371 and 649.
