Novel Destinations:
Adult Winter Reading Program 2012

Travel the world without leaving the comfort of your home with this year’s theme: “Novel Destinations!” Explore new worlds, subjects, authors and genres—it’s all up to you! Books, movies, eBooks and audio books will all be counted toward your participation. Receive a prize for your first 10 items! With every additional 5 items over the initial 10, your name will be entered into a drawing for a “Buy Local Gift Basket.” There is a prize of a $40 gift certificate with the library for the person who records the most items for the game. Everyone who reaches a count of 15 items or more will be eligible for the grand prize drawing to be held Saturday, March 31st. Sign up today!

Free Basic Tax Preparation - Free tax preparation is offered from January to April throughout Kalamazoo County for individuals and families with a yearly household income under $49,000. At KPL, IRS-certified volunteers from VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) prepare taxes by appointment only. Call 2-1-1 or 381-HELP (4357) for more information. This tax preparation service is sponsored by the Kalamazoo County Tax Counseling Initiative.
