Week 43

Librarian Adrianne will be teaching the basics of the craft book folding in a free, but limited, class. Register to join us today!

Is it too early to already be daydreaming about your menu for Thanksgiving? If you are like me, you’re looking forward to seeing friends from out of town, having good laughs with family, and of course, food! Once November arrives, we will be posting our holiday season closures for the Vicksburg District Library. Yes, it is hard to believe, but the official start to the holiday season is just mere weeks away. It’s still too early for the Christmas music, but it won’t be long now.

This Week

The Sanderson Sisters are prepped to run amok on Wednesday night! Join us October 23rd as we screen the Disney Halloween classic Hocus Pocus at 6:00pm. It’s a great time to introduce any of your little ones to this great film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. Popcorn will be served at this free event. We recommend bringing a drink (non-alcoholic) and a beanbag chair or blanket so you can spread out during the feature. We hope you’ll join us for a great time!

2020 Census Application Day is this Saturday! On October 26th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, representatives from the United States Census Bureau will be in the Heritage Room of the Library accepting applications for anyone wishing to work for the 2020 Census. Most work offered is temporary, but a great way to earn extra cash! If you have any questions, please refer to the Jobs Page of the 2020 Census website. Thank you.
