Happy Thanksgiving one and all! It’s hard to believe that the end of the year is quickly approaching. We are getting all the fixings ready at the Vicksburg District Library for a great holiday season and we hope you’ll join us for some of the fun we’ll be having, pumpkin pie and all. Just a quick reminder that we will be closed on Thursday, November 28th in observance of Thanksgiving, but we will be back open for our regular hours on Friday. Be sure to stop in early on Wednesday to pick up any books, music, and DVDs you might want for the extended weekend and we hope it is a plentiful one for you. Gobble gobble!
This Week
Writer’s Roundtable will be meeting this Wednesday, November 27th at 1:00pm. The theme is black and blue. Write about a time you were physically hurt. What happened? What kind of pain did you feel? Did the injury change your life? This will be the last Writer’s Roundtable meeting of 2019. The next meeting won’t be until Wednesday, January 29th at 1:00pm, so be sure to join us if you are available!
Need to get dad and the kids out of the kitchen on Wednesday night? Send them over to the library for Movie Night for All! At 6:00pm, we will be showing the classic The Muppet Movie starring Kermit the Frog and the one and only Miss Piggy! Free popcorn will be served, so bring a beanbag chair or blanket so you can spread out and kick off the holiday with some good family laughs.

Trivia Night at the Vicksburg District Library is coming! As part of the Gaming Group, the library presents Trivia Battle Royale, a Trivial Pursuit game with prizes on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:00pm. Register as yourself or as a team of up to three. We will be playing a round of Trivial Pursuit Ruby Edition and the top three finishers win gift cards to Amazon, Rise N Dine of Vicksburg, and VDL merch. Sign up at the Circulation Desk or on the library website and come prove your trivia worth to one and all!
