As my mother would say, there are eight more sleeps until Christmas! Are you as excited as I am? Be sure to stop in to the Library this week and stock up on some good reading for your holiday travel and vacations. The fireplace and our tree are decorated, and not only do we have reads focused specifically on Christmas, but we are also starting our countdown of the 25 Top Rated Reads of 2019 in the Library. This Week
Family Story Time and Mugs & Hugs are finished for 2019! The programs will start back up after the holidays are over and Vicksburg Community Schools are back in session. The first Family Story Time of 2020 will be held on Monday, January 6th at 10:30am. The first Mugs & Hugs will be on Wednesday, January 8th at 10:30am.
This Wednesday, December 18th, the Gaming Group is hosting a Trivia Battle Royale! Librarian Adrianne will play host while participants compete in Trivial Pursuit Ruby Edition for some fantastic prizes. First place gets $30 in Amazon gift cards. Second place gets $20 in Rise N Dine gift cards. Third place gets some Vicksburg District Library swag. The fun starts at 6:00pm and there will be free popcorn and soda for everyone!
Local Schoolcraft author Joy Avery Melville will be visiting the Vicksburg District Library this Saturday, December 21st from 1:00pm to 3:00pm signing copies of her book Meant for Her. Admission is free and you are able to drop by anytime in that two-hour period!
