Week 45: The Library is Open Once Again

Good morning everyone and happy November!

This morning at 10:00am, the library reopened to the public once more after our closure due to a COVID-19 exposure to our staff.

For the safety of our patrons and staff, we would like to assure you that we have taken the proper precautions in order to reopen once more and serve you. This has included, but is not limited to, sanitization of the surfaces and items within the library, quarantining of materials, and screening and quarantining of the staff. In order to continue to safely serve you, we ask that all visitors to the library continue to wear a proper face mask covering the entirety of their mouths and noses. If you are unable to comply with this request, please call ahead so that we can make accommodations for you, possibly in the form of curbside pickup. Unfortunately, those who do not comply with these requests may be asked to leave the library.

As before our unexpected closing, all items turned in automatically go into a seven (7) day quarantine. Items will not be checked in until this quarantine period has been completed. That being said, all items turned in by this Friday, November 6th at 5:00pm will receive a check in date of October 18th, when we had to close. This will erase and waive all fines and fees associated with our unexpected closure in October.

If you have any questions about the above, please feel free to contact us at 269-649-1648 or at info@vicksburglibrary.org. We will do our best to address any of your concerns.

We sincerely thank you all for your understanding and patience and welcome back to the Vicksburg District Library!
