Week 50

Good (slightly snowy) morning Vicksburg! We have a few announcements to get to today…

At the recommendation of the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services and with cooperation with the Southwest Michigan Library Cooperative, the Vicksburg District Library is currently closed to the public indefinitely. However, we are continuing to provide Curbside Services.

Curbside Services include checking out any regularly circulating items, such as books, audiobooks, and DVDs, paying off fines, copying documents, and registering for a new library card. Services are provided strictly by appointment only.

Need details on how to make an appointment and how Curbside Services work? Please visit our Curbside Pickup Services webpage. When in doubt, you can always call us at (269) 649-1648 or email us at info@vicksburglibrary.org with any questions or concerns. We are still here to serve the Vicksburg community as safely and healthy as possible!

Mrs. W has one more Family Story Time session scheduled for kiddos before Christmas, so be sure to tune in on our Facebook page for the live event on Monday, December 14th at 10:30am. Families can watch from the comfort of their homes while Mrs. W reads stories, sings songs, and more! Also be sure to check out the Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers webpage to register for supplies for your little ones to enjoy!

Adrianne the Librarian is taking a break from Books & Brews for the month of December. But she is listing the Top 25 Rated Vicksburg District Library Books of 2020 all during the month. Each day, she’ll reveal a new item that people across the globe raved about this year! Here’s what’s been on the list so far.

Items from this list come from our adult fiction, adult nonfiction, and young adult collects. Suggestions and ratings come from sources such as Amazon, Goodreads, Google Books, Booklist, and the New York Times. Want to read one of the books listed? Access our catalog or call us to put it on hold for you today!

Please remember we will be closed completely on the following days due to the holiday season:

  • Thursday, December 24th: Christmas Eve
  • Friday: December 25th: Christmas Day
  • Thursday, December 31st: New Year’s Eve
  • Friday, January 1st: New Year’s Day
