The following services are offered by the Vicksburg District Library:
Computers
Eight desktop computers are available for patrons, equipped with standard Microsoft programs and internet access, free of charge. These computers are also used to access digital content of the Heritage Collection, which include obituaries and yearbooks.
Wireless Internet
Wireless internet is available for your laptop, tablet, and cellphone when you come to the library. Simply connect to our VDL Guest network, open your browser, and accept the user agreement. This service is free of charge.
Laptops
The library has two laptops available for use within the library. Both laptops are equipped with standard Microsoft programs and wireless internet access. Use of laptops is free of charge, but you are required to leave your driver’s license with staff at the Circulation Desk while the laptop is in use.
Printing and Copies
The library has a printer and copier available for patron use. Black and white prints and copies are $0.10 per page, per side. Colored prints and and copies are $0.50 per page, per side.
Faxing
The library has a fax machine available for patron use. Faxing is $1.00 per page, whether sending or receiving.
Scanning
The library has a scanner for patron use. Items scanned are emailed to the patron’s email address from the librarian’s email address. Scanning is free of charge to patrons.
